We presented a RoomSaver.com coupon to a hotel and they refused to honor it even though they had vacancies.
RoomSaver.com as well as our magazine affiliates, Traveler Discount Guide, Travel Saver Guide, U.S. Travel Guide and Travel Coupon Guide is designed for the hotels to accept the coupons based on availability, which is the anticipated number of rooms the hotel does not expect to fill that particular night. Some hotels reserve a set number of rooms or percentage of rooms for that rate, once such number is filled they will only honor full rates.

How do I become a member of the Travel Club?
Across the top of the screen, click on the green Travel Club button. A dropdown menu will appear and you'll click on "Free Membership." Or click here: http://www.roomsaver.com/join.php. Simply complete the questionnaire and when finished, click on the submit button at the bottom of the page. Then, you will be taken to your "Travel Club Account" page, which includes an Auto Search area, which saves your search criteria (See "Auto Search" below) and an online coupon book in which to save your hotel coupons from session to session and throughout your membership.

How do I save coupons to my coupon book?
First, you must login to your Travel Club account with your username and password. Upon accessing your account, you can select a hotel coupon of interest and click on the "clip coupon" icon on that coupon. You can print up to 4 coupons per page from your coupon book.

Do I have to be a member of the Travel Club in order search, clip and/or print your hotel coupons?
No, you do not have to be a member to search and print hotel coupons on RoomSaver.com. However, if you'd like to create an Auto Search or save coupons to your online coupon book, you must enroll as a member of the Travel Club.

Where do I go on your Web site to find hotel properties in the area in which I plan to travel?
We have two drop-down menus found on the Home Page of RoomSaver.com on the upper left side in which you can search by state and zip code. Further, there is an interactive map of the U.S. located on the Home Page in which you can click on the state in which you're traveling. These options will give you the opportunity to select localized areas to search for hotel coupons.

What does the Advanced Search do?
The Advanced Search allows you to refine your search for hotel coupons to include amenities, street address, hotel name and/or nightly rate.

What happens when I click on the "See Details" button on each coupon?
The "See Details" feature includes information on the coupon's restrictions and when the advertised rate is applicable as well as the hotel's amenities, location, a link to the property's Web site, online brochure, an interactive map and allows you to print the coupon. Lastly, this page advises you why hotels discount.

What happens when I click on "Clip Coupon?"
The "Clip Coupon" feature actually clips the selected coupon to your online coupon book. To obtain an online coupon book, you must register as a member of the Travel Club. Click here to join the Travel Club.

What is the "brochure" icon on the coupon?
The "brochure" feature allows you to view an extensive description of the hotel including four photos of the property as well as 500 words of marketing text. It also contains a link to the hotel's Web site and allows you to print the coupon from this page as well.

What happens when I click on "map" on the hotel coupon?
The "Map" feature pinpoints the selected hotel among interstates and local roads and other landmarks. You can also zoom-in and out, e-mail and print the map.

How do I e-mail the hotel property?
Click on the "e-mail" icon featured on the bottom right of several coupons. The "e-mail" feature allows you to complete the online form with your name and the means in which you prefer to be contacted (phone and/or e-mail) as well as an area to type in your inquiry and/or comment. Then, you click on the submit button and your message is delivered to the hotel property via e-mail.

How do I get to the hotel's Web site?
Click on the "Web site" icon on the bottom right of most coupons. This feature allows you to visit that hotel's Web site and obtain further information about their property, availability and rates.

How do I sign up for or perform an Auto Search?
You must be enrolled as a Travel Club member to take advantage of this feature. If you can't find exactly the deal you want, you can create an Auto Search. When coupons come into the system that matches your criteria such as city/state, hotel name and rate range, we will automatically e-mail that information to you on a weekly basis.

What does "based on availability" refer to?
The hotels and motels listed on this site offer savings on a "based on availability" basis. This means coupons will be accepted until the property projects it will fill up (75 - 80% occupancy) on the date(s) of your request. Once the property projects it will fill up, while rooms still may be available at the property, you will be quoted the regular rate. Discounts are not valid with advance reservations confirmed at a higher rate.

How do I make a reservation at the advertised discount rate?
We do not process reservations through RoomSaver.com. Please contact the hotel directly for reservations via the toll free number listed on the coupon, e-mail and/or visit their Web site. Please be advised that many hotel coupons include the disclaimer, "for walk-ins only."

What if the hotel that I normally visit does not have a coupon on RoomSaver.com?
Trader Publishing Company (www.traderonline.com) manages www.roomsaver.com, as well as, our four affiliate print travel guides. If a hotel has a coupon listed in one of our affiliate travel guides, they also receive a complimentary "Basic Listing" on RoomSaver.com. However, some hotels choose not to advertise on RoomSaver.com for decisions taken by the Owner/Manager/Marketing Group of the hotel or a decision made by the hotel franchise.

Why aren't there any hotel coupons in the city in which I plan on traveling?
Not all cities/areas have hotel listings. If the city is not listed you may opt to search for the next/nearest city. Most coupons contain a map that pinpoints their location among local roads, interstates and landmarks that you may find helpful amongst your search.

How do I cancel the e-mail notify service for the Auto Searches that I created?
Login to your Travel Club account http://www.roomsaver.com/signin.php. Click on the link below Auto Search.
At the bottom of the page, your Auto Searches will be listed by title, status, create date and (date) last modified. Click on "delete search" on the far right for each Auto Search you wish to delete. You will no longer receive e-mail notification(s) for those Auto Search(es) in which you've deleted.

How do I unsubscribe from the RoomSaver.com Travel Specials newsletters?
To unsubscribe, click here: http://www.roomsaver.com/remove_mailing_list.php and enter your e-mail address. If the e-mail address you entered is in our database, your information will appear on the next page. Then, you will click on the "remove from mailing list" button and you will no longer receive the RoomSaver.com Travel Specials newsletters. However, if the next page advises, "The email you entered is not valid," please try again or e-mail members@roomsaver.com to obtain the e-mail address that you signed up with and/or advise them that you wish to be removed from future e-mails.

Why am I encountering problems printing/searching/viewing your coupons?
Typically, if you experience problems printing/searching/viewing our hotel coupons, your browser may not be updated to version 6.0, Cipher Strength 128-bit.

How do I change my e-mail address for my Travel Club account?
Please e-mail members@roomsaver.com and indicate the e-mail address that you registered with as well as your last name and your new e-mail address. You will receive an e-mail from a member of our staff to confirm the change and to advise you of your new login username and password.

Why do some coupons say, "call for current rate?"
The discounted rates are updated from our affiliate travel magazines (Traveler Discount Guide, Travel Saver Guide, U.S. Travel Guide and Travel Coupon Guide) as well as by the individual hotel owners/GM/Marketing Groups. When the rate expires, it will default to "Call for Current Rate" until the new rate is posted or the hotel listing is removed.

Please click here and enter your e-mail address. If the e-mail address that you enter is recognized by our database, you will automatically receive an e-mail containing your password. However, if your username is not recognized by our database, an error message will appear and will advise you to contact our customer service department at members@roomsaver.com or 800-ROOMSAVER (766-6728).
